This wonderfully crafted Tasmanian Devil coin is the fifth release in the Australian Opal series, showcasing nocturnal Australian animals created in pure Australian opal.
The Tasmanian Devil is a highly distinctive marsupial found only on the island of Tasmania, Australia. This distinctive creature is recognized by its squat build, black coloring, loud screeches and reputedly bad temper. Although only the size of a small dog, it can sound and look incredibly fierce.
Now listed as endangered, this unique creature is nocturnal and sleeps during the day.
This stunning series will feature eight coins in total, with two new coins released each year.
Forthcoming release: The Masked Owl.
